Our Services

We are thrilled to unveil a suite of comprehensive future services, meticulously designed to empower our New American neighbors and aid in their successful integration into our community. These services, set to launch in the near future, are not just programs; they are lifelines to those navigating the complexities of a new life in America, offering support, guidance, and education to ensure a smoother 3 transition and the development of self-reliance. In addition to these future services, we are excited to announce the upcoming opening of the IIS Food Pantry on Bethel Road, further extending our commitment to community care and support. Here’s an in- depth look at our transformative services:

Community Care

Our Community Care program addresses everyday challenges faced by newcomers. We provide hands-on assistance with tasks like managing mail, understanding and handling bills, and navigating the intricacies of benefit applications. This service is a pillar of support, simplifying complex processes and making daily life more approachable and less intimidating.

English Classes

Language is the key to integration and connection. Our English Classes, offered in two formats – the structured, semester-based Aspire program, and the more flexible, volunteer-led drop-in sessions – cater to diverse learning preferences, ensuring that everyone has access to essential language skills.

Employment Services

Our Employment Services are a gateway to the American job market, offering career consulting, skills training, resume writing, and interview preparation. We empower our clients with the tools and confidence needed to embark on successful career journeys.

Computer Literacy

In our digital age, computer literacy is indispensable. Our comprehensive classes cover vital skills such as typing, internet use, email communication, and G-Suite proficiency, enhancing employability and ensuring digital inclusiveness.

Citizenship Assistance

The path to citizenship is a significant journey. We provide tailored support for those preparing for the civics exam, including access to volunteer tutors and a specialized Naturalization Clinic in partnership with The Legal Aid Society of Columbus.

Legal Clinic

Our monthly legal clinic offers Riverview residents free legal advice on immigration issues from experienced attorneys, ensuring knowledgeable and confident navigation of legal challenges.

Community Events

We believe in celebrating our community's rich diversity. Our events, including field trips, holiday celebrations, and an annual festival, are vibrant expressions of our collective heritage and an opportunity for everyone to experience the best of Central Ohio.

Homework & Reading Help

Recognizing the crucial role of education in integration, we offer homework and reading support four evenings a week, aiding students in building a strong academic foundation.
